An Overdue Trim and a Lesson in Pain
Archie would like the record to show that his recent grumpiness was entirely management related. I, on the other hand, learned a valuable lesson about foundations, feet, and why our bodies deserve the same attention we give our horses.
Horses are Magical… and Healing Takes Longer than You Think.
What should have been a two-week recovery turned into eight. Watching Beau - my 2 year old draft cross - heal from a large laceration below his shoulder sbecame a daily lesson in patience, adaption, and the quiet intelligence of the body. Between setbacks, snacks, and a surprising amount of lymph fluid, this farm experience mirrrors what so many of us face in our own healing journeys - progress that zigzags, pauses, and still somehow moves forward.
